Standing Outside the Fire

A vibrantly colored bird of prey stands with wings outspread highlighted by flames. Fire. Green Blue, Black, Yellow, Orange, Red. Large Painting by artist Donald Ryker in textured expressionist impressionist art style with unique impasto glaze technique.

People with disabilities are expected to live a separate life. Children are placed in separate classes. The work world doest accommodate special needs. Adults with disabilities who really want to work are unable to find a way to contribute and earn money. If they do, they endanger the government funds that are supporting them. Something needs to change.

Life is about being in the fire. Its about participating and being part of our society. Standing outside the fire is no life. This colorful eagle stands at the boundary between life and subsistence. He is ready to take flight into life. – Donald Ryker
