It meant a lot to me to be around horses as a child. There is something about the quiet peacefulness of these huge animals that brings you into their world. I looked forward to any time I could be visiting or riding horses. This image is one of the largest breeds – a Clydesdale. The gentle giant among horses. I wanted to evoke that sense of power and peacefulness these horses have. He has the massive body and height of the Clydesdales, standing with one leg cocked, waiting for what happens next. – Donald Ryker
