These are Service Dogs with Canine Companions for Independence, but they could be any Labrador Retrievers. This breed is so social and friendly. This young puppy is looking at a mature service dog and seeing what he will become one day. I have had both the yellow and black dogs. The experience of knowing and working with these dogs has inspired this series of paintings. Seeing my dogs interact and the unconditional love they have for their masters and each other influenced the creation of this painting.  – Donald Ryker
