This Falcon is fierce. He is in the fog searching for his prey. I used layers of adobe brick and orange pigment, and red glaze to paint his form and feathers, and used a grey glaze against a dark background to create the fog. I really like the texture of his feathers and the translucence of the fog all around him. This painting is bold and direct. It has strength and complexity. – Donald Ryker
