This is the second rooster in the series. I discovered these birds come in very colorful variations and went searching for more. It is fun to recreate the feathers and color in paint. I have chosen bold background colors for this series and this sunflower yellow is so cheerful. Interestingly, I was working on this painting to show a class of children in Georgia how I paint during a Skype interview they did with me as part of their diversity studies. —Donald Ryker
